Alan Eugene Hufford

DOVER - Alan Eugene Hufford, aka, "Ol Ank," of Dover, died tragically on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011 near his home. He was 47. Alan was born Aug. 4, 1964, in Altoona, Pa., the son of the late Cletus Hufford and Judith Hufford Grabosky of Altoona, Pa. He was a good man who died unnecessarily. Alan always meant well and meant no harm to anybody. Ol Ank loved to work on cars and enjoyed fishing. He loved his Dog, Deuce, aka, "Dittle Boy." He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, especially Troy Polamalu #43. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his three children, Kayla Port, Kyle Port, and Brenon Port, all of Altoona; a step-father, Gerard Grabosky of Altoona; a sister, Cheryl Cannon of Smyrna; two nephews, Bill and Zac, a niece, Alexa; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Memorial services will be 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 6 p.m. Burial will be privately held in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Kent County S.P.C.A., 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
