Aaron Joel Bratten

Aaron J. Bratten, born Nov. 22, 1982, passed away peacefully on Feb. 17, 2017. He was the son of Rev. Elmer and Peggy Bratten.
His early educational training was at Calvary Christian Academy and Central Delaware Christian Academy. He was an honor student at Polytech High School where he graduated in 2000. He attended and graduated from Delaware State University, May 2004 with a B.A. degree in Mass Communications. He was a dean's scholar. Aaron was the founder and CEO of Cherish the Moment Video Production. He graduated from the Joint College of Bishops Adjutancy School in 2012. He was a dedicated member of the Milford Community Band, Polytech High School Band and Delaware University Approaching Storm.
He served as a Deacon, Minister, Musician, Secretary and Treasury of the National Youth Convention – Mt. Sinai Holy Church of America, Inc.
He was employed by Bayhealth Medical Center – Radiology Department as a Health Information Assistant since Aug. 7, 2000.
He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Andrew (Courtney) and A. Joseph Bratten; one nephew, Jayce; God-mother, Delores Milbourne; two God-sisters, Dr. Clytrice Watson (Michael) and Minister Tracy Humphies.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Evan W. Smith Funeral Services, 518 S. Bay Rd, Dover. His Promotion to Glory Ceremony will be Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, 54 S. Kirkwood St., Dover, at 12 noon. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment at Barrett's Chapel Cemetery.
