Quillen, 85 DOVER-Irene V. "Teeny" Quillen passed away January 15, 2015 in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Teeny was born on June 26, 1929 in Dover, daughter of the late Humphrey and Alice (Showalter) Vandegrift. She was Past President of the Delaware Rural Letter Carriers Aux., President of Rodney Village Assoc., Dover Modern Maturity Center, Harvest Years, A.A.R.P., Volunteer for SOAR, Elder Info, Del. Ag. Museum. She also volunteered at the Modern Maturity as a Hostess, Gift Hop. She was an avid bridge player, which she also taught, and was a member of the American Assoc. of Duplicate Bridge Assoc. Teeny is predeceased in death by her husband of 60 years, Gilbert C. Quillen, their son, Gilbert Randy Quillen; sisters, Mickey Sipple and Dorthy McColpin; and brother, Robert Vandegrift. She is survived by a son, E. Ray Quillen and his wife Mary Ella of Dover; three grandchildren, Christopher Quillen of Felton, Dayna Harrel, Jennifer Werner; and three great-grandchildren, Dawson and Harper Ludwig and Lillian Werner; two sisters, Ruth Cataldi and Mary Ann Plante; and adopted grandchildren, Dr. Joshua and Sean Covelski. A graveside service will be announced at a later date. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to charities of your choice.
