Zoo Brew, an event to celebrate the collaboration between the Salisbury Zoo and Evolution Craft Brewing, will be held Saturday at the zoo from 5 to 8 p.m.
The joint effort resulted in the creation of Pinocchio Pale Ale, named for the Andean bear visitors love to see and led to Zoo Brew, a fundraiser for the Delmarva Zoological Society, established in 2009 to support the popular facility.
In February, Mayor Jake Day, with officials from the zoo and Evolution Craft Brewing, announced the new series of custom beers called Zoo Brews.
They are scheduled to be released during the next two years, with the first being named for Pinocchio.
Tickets to Zoo Brew cost $50 each.
Admission will include a bottle of Pinocchio Pale Ale from the 500 bottles available, music, a VIP experience with zookeepers and animals and craft beer paired with foods, courtesy of Sobo’s Wine Beerstro.
Additional items from the Sobo's Food Truck and pints of beer will be for sale. Guests must be 21 or older.
