Keene Miles, 59 Salisbury - Yvonne Elizabeth Keene Miles departed this life on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. she was born Sept. 28, 1955, to the late Preston E. and Lucy C. Keene In 1974 she graduated from St. Michaels High School continuing her education at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Princess Anne, Md. graduating in 1980. Yvonne had several years of service in the Dorchester County Public school system. She was united in holy matrimony on June 5, 1982 to the late Larry J. Miles, Sr. Yvonne was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Bellevue, Md. where she was an usher and member of the food service committee until she relocated to Salisbury, Md. Yvonne loved and enjoyed her family especially her children and grandchildren, always available to assist anyone that needed help. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and family vacations. She leaves to mourn her passing, two children, Yolanda and Larry Miles, Jr. (Salisbury, Md.), a step daughter LaTrice Miles (Fredericksburg, Va.), Kristen King (Salisbury, Md.) whom was like a daughter. Two grandsons Larry Miles, III, whom she helped raise and Mekhi Miles (Salisbury, Md.) A sister Barbara Keene ( Easton, Md.), a brother Larry Keene (Preston, Md.), an uncle Elbert Thomas (Easton, Md.) godson Tyreik Gwynn, mother-in-law Iris Miles (Marion, Md.), Two sister-in-laws Evelyn Johnson (East New Market, Md.) and Bertha (Donald) Cottingham (Hanover, Md.), a brother-in law William Miles(Princess Anne, Md.) a special nephew Ryan Dodd (East New Market, Md.), a best friend Bernadette Kellum (Baltimore, Md.) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry J. Miles, Sr., and three brothers William, Lindsay, and Preston Keene, Jr. Services will be held on Sat., Dec. 20th 1pm at Union Baptist Church Easton, MD with a viewing two hours prior.
