DELMAR - William "Bill" Worden, Sr. died Tuesday, May 22, 2018, surrounded by his family. Born in Boston, he was a son of the late Irving and Ruth Worden.
Known to most as "Mr. Bill" or "Big Bill," he retired from IGA groceries and Burger Chef, driving the bus to a shirt factory where he worked on the floor. His favorite job was as a valet at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Deborah Worden; a daughter, Cathy Worden-Parrott; a son, William Worden Jr.; four grandchildren; sisters, June Worden, Effie Walker and Mary Henderson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Jim Worden.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Holloway Funeral Home. Interment was in Parsons Cemetery.
