SALISBURY -- William Ernest Williams Jr., known to friends as "Bunk" or "Bill", 82, of Salisbury, died Sunday, July 24, 2016, at his home. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late William Ernest Williams Sr. and Iva Mae Carey Williams. He graduated from Wicomico High School in 1951 and was a sales representative with C & P Telephone/Bell Atlantic, retiring in 1989 after 33 years of service. He was a member of Washington United Methodist Church in Shad Point for over 50 years; Centennial Lodge No. 221 A.F. & A.M. for over 50 years. He was a past Worthy Patron of Wicomico Chapter No. 91, order of the Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beatrice Ellen Hearn Williams; three daughters, Lorraine Landing of Delmar, Yvonne Bunting of Ocean City, and Anita Crowley of Salisbury; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Pryor of Salisbury; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson; four sisters, Helen Williams, Beatrice Tallent, Pauline Culver and Betty Jean Scott; and four brothers, George, Fred, Morris and Crawford Williams. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at the Shad Point Cemetery.
