Wicomico Composite Squadron named 2025 MD Squadron of the Year

The storied history of the U.S. Civil Air Patrol began with its founding on Dec. 1, 1941, just days before the infamous bombing of Pearl Harbor that ushered the nation into WWII.

Locally, the Wicomico Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol, one of only two on the Eastern Shore, added to that organization’s legacy of excellence and civic service, recently was named 2025 Maryland Squadron of the Year.
