Weekend skipjack race preparations
Harrison Porter, 15, applies varnish to the refinished mast hoops of the “Han Em Harv,” formerly the Anna McGarvey. After two and a half years, owner Harold “Stoney” Whitelock had completed restoration on the skipjack and is rushing to sail it in this year’s Labor Day Skiupjack Race off Deal Ilsand. Porter is the nephew of Whitelock’s wife, Katarina Ennerfelt, of Dames Quarter.
