Wear your ugly Christmas sweater to 3rd Friday

Tomorrow is the next 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury. This month's event is hosted indoors only -- so that means no artists and crafters outside on the street -- but there is still tons to do and see.

So don your ugliest sweater for a night of shopping, gallery shows, carriage rides and more.

This 3rd Friday coincides with the First Annual Holiday Horse & Carriage Rides hosted by The Acorn Market. This sold-out event is a great way to get in the holiday spirit, and see Downtown Salisbury is a whole new way. The ride features a half-mile loop that includes the Plaza.

Even if you didn’t get tickets, you can still enjoy seeing carriage rides taking place Downtown throughout the evening. Angello's Unique Gifts will be in full gear for the Holidays, with a Huge Sale for the last minute items on your list, including free gift wrap.

You can even design your very own "Downtown Diva SBY" Holiday Gift Basket complete with your hand selected elegant piece from Kuhn's Jewelers.

Dorman's Christmas Tree Farm is back again this year, selling fresh Christmas Trees and wreaths in the wrought iron gate cut-through located near the bottom of the Plaza. Plus, check out the all new Mistletoe Market, right next door in the building formerly known as Parker Place.

Join Barefoot Baby Boutique and Minds in Motion Children's Museum as they bring Christmas cheer to the Downtown Plaza. Come rock around a Christmas tree, ride a “reindeer,” sip some cider, watch elves paint ornaments, shop for kids toys and interact with a Minds in Motion kids’ exhibit.

Plus, a local artist will be on site taking orders for personalized wooden reindeers, perfect for holiday gifts.

The Salisbury University Art Galleries | Downtown Campus is hosting a unique event this 3rd Friday. Salisbury University is inviting all alumni to participate in a juried exhibition titled HOMECOMING.

All work submitted will be reviewed by Ginevra Shay, Artistic Director for The Contemporary Museum in Baltimore, and curator Rose Arcade.

The shops are ready to dazzle 3rd Friday goers with great sales! Kuhn’s Jewelers has elves read to help you find the perfect piece for your special someone this year, and has extended hours just for the holidays, so be sure to stop by.

Enza’s An Organic Salon is celebrating their 11th year anniversary, with refreshments all day, holiday music, extended hours and 25 percent off all in stock products; everything from books, candles, jewelry, scarves, teas, cosmetics, nail polish, lotions and soaps, as well as skin and hair care.

Season’s Best Antiques will have their annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party, so wear your favorite sweater for a chance to win $25 gift certificate, plus sales throughout the store, hot cocoa and cookies. Market Street Books will also be open late for the holidays, and will be offering refreshments.

The Downtown bars and restaurants are ready with live music for 3rd Friday. Roadie Joe’s Bar and Grill will have Smooth and Remy for the happy hour crowd from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., plus DJ Blendz late night.

Brew River will have live music by Miranda Haney and a DJ late night. Market Street Inn will have late night jams by DJ Juan. Be sure to stop by Mojo’s to support them during Main Street construction, they will be open all night with great food specials and live music by Freak Flag Fly.

3rd Friday is a Downtown economic development initiative and a project of the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District and The city of Salisbury. For More Information: 3rdFridaySby.com
