The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art held the 49th Annual World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition and Art Festival last weekend at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City.

Carvers of all levels from all over the world entered more than 1,200 carvings in 39 different divisions, which included lifesize and miniature decorative bird carvings, interpretive carvings, and several categories of working decoys.

At the award ceremony on Saturday evening, the winners of the World Champion Divisions were announced with the exception of Shootin’ Rig, which due to weather conditions on the bay was judged and announced Sunday morning.
