Virginia L. Dietrich Thompson

DELMAR - Virginia L. Dietrich Thompson died Friday, December 11, 2020 at Tidal Health Pensinsula Regional in Salisbury.
Born February 4, 1944 in Fishing Creek, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Manning Parker and Viola Meekins Parker.
She worked for many years as a phone operator at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her children, John Wheeler and wife Cathy of Blairsville, Georgia, Debbie Still and husband Lewi of Delmar, Janet Brummell and husband Dale of Trappe, Steve Wheeler and wife Kathy of Cambridge, and Frank Dietrich and Kelly Pereyra of Cambridge; twelve grandchildren; thirteen greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, William Frank Dietrich and husband William "Bill" Thompson.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market where the family received friends at a walk through visitation one hour prior to the service. Social distancing and masks were required. Pastor Mark Thomas officiated. Interment followed in East New Market Cemetery.
