A free, one-day, one-stop presentation of information, resources, opportunities and services of interest to residents age 55 and older is coming to Salisbury on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Thrive! is a senior expo event taking place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at MAC in Salisbury, sponsored by MAC, the Salisbury Independent, Holloway Funeral Home and Chesapeake Health Care.

Visitors will find a variety of vendor stalls and educational exhibits to. Presentations on topics of interest to seniors will be held at various vendor’s booths throughout the day.

Vendors include community nonprofits like Coastal Hospice and Habitat for Humanity; health-related businesses like Community Pharmacy, Apple Discount Drugs, Peninsula Alternative Health and Peninsula Home Care, Delmarva Public Radio; and information on Window World of Delmarva.

Learn about the services and opportunities designed to allow seniors to remain in their own homes for as long as possible, including bathroom makeovers to increase safety for seniors by Herl’s Bath & Tile Solutions, financial advice from InFocus Financial Advisors and First Shore Federal to prepare and sustain a comfortable retirement.

Additional vendors continue to be added.

Food will also be available, along with door prizes and other giveaways.
