SALISBURY - Thomas C. Payne died Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Mabel and Lewis Payne. He was a union electrician and enjoyed singing in the choir at Bethany Lutheran Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 67 years, Marian Payne. He is survived by a daughter, Pat Christian, of Waverly Hall, Ga.; a son, Michael Payne, of Millersville, Md.; daughter, Kathleen Howard, of Westover; and daughter, Linda Lamont, of Ocala, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A funeral service was held Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Salisbury. Interment was in Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
