Thomas Bramble Willey died on Aug. 4, 2018 at the age of 89. He resided at Leisure World in Silver Spring, Md. Tom was born Sept. 8, 1928 in Robbins, Md. and lived most of his life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He had a rewarding career as an electrical worker beginning in 1945 as a lineman for the Eastern Shore Public Service Company (now Delmarva Power) and then in 1960 as an International Representative of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, AFL-CIO. After his retirement in 1986, he continued to be involved in union activities and volunteered enthusiastically for democratic candidates at all levels of public service.
Tom had a zest for life and he will be lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Alan Langrall; grandson, Martin Langrall and wife Julie Allen; sister-in-law, Brenda Willey; nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Dunnock Willey; parents, Nellie Sann and George Willey; and siblings, George W. Willey (wife Patricia), Charlotte W. Robinson (husband Melvin), and Douglas M. Willey. He was followed in death by his son, Thomas Gregory Willey.
Memorial donations in remembrance of Tom may be made to the charity of your choice.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 at Dorchester Memorial Park.
Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
