Theresa E. Moore, 89

FEDERALSBURG - Theresa E. Moore, 89, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 at the Ruxton Health Care of Denton.

Born in Laurel, Del. on July 28, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Granville and Fannie Hill Ellis.

Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Laurel High School in Laurel, Del. and worked for E.I. Dupont before becoming a homemaker in 1940. She enjoyed walking on the beach and the overall atmosphere of being at the beach.

She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Hurlock and was a former member of the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary as well as the VFW Post 4652 Ladies Auxiliary in Federalsburg. She was also a member of the Federalsburg Senior Center.

Mrs. Moore is survived by one daughter, Karen and her husband, Louis Hamilton of Greenwood, Del.; two brothers, Grandville and Howard Ellis, both of Laurel, Del. and one sister, Doris Krouse of Newark, Del. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Moore who passed away on June 20, 1988 and by one daughter, Janet Coulbourne who passed away in 1986.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Williamson Funeral Home in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home during the hour preceding the service. Burial will take place at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans' Cemetery at Beulah.
