Sylvia T. Lewis, 82

FISHING CREEK - Sylvia T. Lewis, 82, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 20, 2008 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake, Salisbury.

Born on April 10, 1925 at Honga, Dorchester County, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Tolley and Thelma Parker Tolley.

She was a graduate of Hoopers Island High School.

Mrs. Lewis was a member of Hosier Memorial United Methodist Church, Fishing Creek.

For over 40 years she worked for W.T. Ruark Seafood.

Surviving is her sister, Frances "Polly" Aaron of Cambridge; a niece, Roberta Gering and her husband, Ron of Louisville, Ky.; a nephew, Robert Aaron and his wife, Stephanie and their family, Robbie Aaron III, Elizabeth Aaron, all of Hoopersville and Amber Aaron of Rhodesdale; and several close cousins.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband, Joel Dorsey Lewis and her daughter, Patricia Lewis.

Funeral services will be held at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., on at 11 a.m. on Saturday, , where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be the decedent's cousin, Raymond H. Simmons Jr., also a Lay Speaker of Hosier Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ron Gering, Robert Aaron, Robbie Aaron III, Roger Solomon, Bruce Smith and Jim Hedberg.

Expressions of sympathy may be made by either sending flowers or making memorial offerings in Mrs. Lewis's memory to either Hosier Memorial United Methodist Church, c/o Priscilla K. McGlaughlin, P.O. Box 41, Fishing Creek, MD 21634 or Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802-1733.
