FRUITLAND - Susan Genevieve Ness died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Harry Thomas Hilghman Jr. and Esther "Essie" Lee McCann.
She worked as a certified nursing assistant for over 30 years for several health care agencies and was known for the loving and devoted care she provided for her patients.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Lynn Horseman of Fruitland; a son, Robert Everett Horseman Jr. of Houston, Texas; the father of her children, Robert E. Horseman Sr. of Salisbury; two grandchildren; and aunt and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Wayne Hilghman.
A graveside service was held Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
