Survival Products in Salisbury is operating under a new name: Rommel Hearth and Outdoor.

Though the name is new, the business will remain in the same location of 1116 North Salisbury Blvd., and will operate with the same staff that it has had for the last 35 years.

Dave Rommel purchased Survival Products from the former owners, Rick and Sue Turner, late in 2015.  The name change represents an assimilation into the Rommel portfolio of businesses. The new name and signage of Rommel Hearth and Outdoor will be a continuation of the level of professional service that Survival Products has provided.

Rommel Hearth and Outdoor plans to expand its product lines and geographic footprint.RH&O will continue to supply top rated heating appliances from brands such as Harman, Quadra-fire, and Heat N Glo along with servicing and  fuels for each. Recently, professionally trained and certified chimney sweep services have been added.

RH&O also stocks the high quality recreational and fishing kayaks that people have associated Survival Products over time from top brands such as Hobie, Wilderness Systems, and Perception.
