This month’s theme is Super Heroes – so get ready for comics, cosplay and real-life super-heroes.

There’s always lots to do at 3rd Friday – from art shows to live entertainment – so head Downtown for a night out.

3rd Friday gets super with a pre-Halloween opportunity for cosplay sponsored by 3rd Friday and Ocean City Comic Con. Anyone dressed up in a costume can spin the prize for a chance to win free comics and cool prizes.

No costume, no problem – compete in feats of super strength for a chance to win.

Youngsters can enjoy Halloween crafts and pumpkin painting with the city of Salisbury Housing and Community Development Department, and meet real life heroes from the Salisbury Police and Fire Departments.

AMP Studios will be making sure things rock this 3rd Friday playing live from the North Division Street Stage, with four bands of this year’s “rock heroes” to come out of the AMP Studios program – KickStart, Basement Stairs, Plaza East and the Major Minors.

At 6 p.m.,  you won't want to miss the Feet of Fire Dance Academy’s annual Halloween Dance performance, as they take over the street with their amazing talent and spooktacular costumes.

SBY Movies on the River closes out the season with a super special Halloween Double Feature with “The Addams Family 2” at 7 p.m., followed by “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” at 8:45; both free to attend at Riverwalk Amphitheater -- just bring your own blanket and popcorn.

Blackwater Apothecary is hosting a Witch's Market from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring local witchy and wonderful vendors including Dramatic JuJu, the7thringco, Aphotic Hoopla, Whispering Witchery, The Occidental Herbalist and Rite of Raven.

Kaiju Records is celebrating “Rocktober,” with 10 percent off all metal, punk and hardrock records.

Plus, Lilac Clothing Co. is ready for 3rd Friday, with 20 percent off all purchases of $50 or more, so it’s the perfect time to get those fall favorites you've been eyeballing.

The Brick Room is celebrating 3rd Friday with Happy Hour from 4 to 8 p.m.; Brew River is hosting live music with Uprizing Band.

Salisbury Art Space presents “Comic Art,” an all-new exhibition exploring the world of epic villains, heroes and fantasy characters through fine art submissions submitted by local artists and Salisbury Art Space members, judged by comic artist Bryan Tillman and sponsored by the Whaley Family Foundation.

“Comic Art” highlights pop art, design and comic illustration and includes solo exhibition highlights from Brad Hudson and Elvin Hernandez and a special foyer gallery exhibition from judge Bryan Tillman.

Salisbury Art Space will host an opening reception and awards ceremony during 3rd Friday, as well as kids crafts in the art space and on Main Street.

Salisbury University Art Galleries | Downtown Campus will be exhibiting DUSTY FUNK: Black Tundra featuring the work of comics creator David Brame, a proudly black, afrofuturist scholar whose comic work explores issues of race and identity.

The Downtown Trolley will be running this 3rd Friday on a continuous loop from Salisbury University to Downtown to make sure it’s easy for students, faculty and staff to make it for all the festivities.

Trolley service will begin at 4:45 p.m. in front of SU Academic Commons and will drop off on Camden Street by the SU Downtown Building and will loop between the two locations until 8:15 p.m., completely free to ride.
