Stewart Williams Parks

Stewart Williams Parks, 71

TANGIER, Va. - Stewart Williams Parks, 71, husband of Connie Pruitt Parks, passed away Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.

Born on Sept. 13, 1935, Mr. Parks was the son of the late Raymond Hall Parks and Evelyn Wood Williams Parks He was a retired waterman and had worked for the Express Marine Co. He was a member of the New Testament Church.

Other than his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Shirley Parks Rice and husband David and Beverly Stewart Parks and husband Sandy, all of Salisbury; a son, Stewart Williams Parks, Jr. and wife Leslie of Parksley; two sisters, Darlene Parks Daley and Jessie Parks Crockett of Tangier; a brother, Dennis Parks of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, William, David, Hunter, Joy, Autumn, Will and Russ; several nieces and nephews and a special cousin Betty Parks of Tangier.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Evelyn Marie Parks and a brother, Gene Raymond Parks.

Funeral services conducted from the New Testament Church on Tangier were held on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at 2 p.m. Pastor Bill Pruitt officiated. Burial was in the New Testament Church Cemetery.
