SALISBURY — St. Peter’s Episcopal Church offers a tuition-free, comprehensive, after-school music program open to young people ages 7-18. No experience necessary. Director of Music James Wallace will teach the classes. St. Peter’s Episcopal Church is located at 115 St. Peters St. in Salisbury.

About The Director
James Wallace was engaged as Director of Music at St. Peter’s Church in August of 2023. He has extensive church and school experience, with nearly 30 years of high school teaching as a boarding school music director. Most recently, he served at an Episcopal boarding school, St. Mark’s outside Boston, for ten years. He als has decades of experience working with children and youth in Episcopal churches, most recently at St. Mark’s Church in Southborough, Mass.
Mr. Wallace holds the bachelor of music degree in church music and organ performance from Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, Wash., and a master of music degree in church music from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ. He also holds the Advanced Studies Certificate in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television from the University of Southern California.
Rehearsal Days
• Snack on arrival
• Supervised early arrival time beginning 30 minutes before rehearsal time start
Training Choir
• Grades 2-3 and older singers new to singing
• Rehearsals Monday and Wednesday, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Performance Choir
• Grades 4 and up
• Rehearsals Tuesday and Thursday, 4 to 5:30 p.m.
• Sings at Sunday 10:30 a.m. Service
• Small cash stipend for each service sung
The Choir School is a tuition-free choral program supported by the Episcopal Pro-Cathedral of St. Peter in Salisbury.
We use the “Voice for Life” Curriculum of the Royal School of Church Music in which singers gain vocal skills and musical understanding while learning classical music, both sacred and secular. The Choir School is open to all regardless of faith - church membership is not required.
