SALISBURY - Shirley Burke Nock died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, in the presence of her family at Coastal Hospice At The Lake. Born in Macedon, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Lewis J. Burke and Marie Northrop Burke. After graduating from Palmyra-Macedon High School in 1955, she moved to Washington, D.C., where she met her husband, M. William "Bill" Nock. They later moved to Salisbury, her husband's hometown. She worked as a Realtor for Anderson Stokes and Long & Foster. In recent years, she enjoyed time with her friends at Pine Bluff Village and St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, Gary Nock; her two daughters, Terry Maguire of Salisbury and Noelle Klein of Charlottesville, Va.; seven grandchildren; sisters, Joan Crowley and Sandy Bennett, both of Victor, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Bill and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Arlene Ryan of Victor, N.Y., and her brother, James Burke of Bristol, N.Y. A funeral mass was held Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Victor, N.Y. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
