NEWCOMB - Sarah E. Schall went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, N.C.. She was 73. Born in Talbot County on May 13, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Raymond M. and Mary Clem Eason. Following her graduation from St. Michaels High School, she, in 1954, married Raymond E. Schall Sr., a local building contractor. They made their home in Newcomb. Mrs. Schall worked at various places in and around the Bay Hundred and Easton areas, including McCrory's Five and Dime in Easton and various post offices in Talbot County. She later did private duty sitting and was a daycare provider and full-time homemaker. Mr. Schall died in November 1986. Mrs. Schall was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Easton. During the 1970's and 80's, she and her husband were members of the Delmarva "Winnies" Winnebago Club. In addition, she volunteered for the Talbot County Board of Elections. She is survived by three children, Raymond E. Schall Jr. and his wife, Betty of Newcomb, Bonnie Watts of Raleigh, and Helen Campbell and her husband Steve of St. Michaels; a daughter-in-law, Pamela Schall of Pennsylvania; brothers and sisters, Ruth Ann Hicks and her husband "Crockett" of Easton, John A. Eason and his wife Goldie of Cordova, Virginia Saulsbury of Denton, and Debbie Pinder and her husband Kenny of Cordova; eight grandchildren ,Rachael Whiting, Michael Schall, Crystal Watts, Stacey Gibson, Matthew Watts, Rachael Campbell, Nolan Campbell, and Travis Campbell; five great-grandchildren, Abigail, Logan, Cody, Alyssa, Aiden and one on the way. She is also survived by her faithful companion, Tippy. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey B. Schall who died Jan. 8, 2008; a brother, Joseph "Jay" Eason; and a son-in-law, Paul D. Watts Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Rodney Saulsbury. Funeral services will be held at the First Wesleyan Church in Easton on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be her four grandsons, her son-in-law and three nephews, Rodney Saulsbury Jr., Johnny Eason and Jimmy Eason. Burial will be in New Spring Hill Cemetery in Easton. Memorial donations may be made to the First Wesleyan Church Food Bank, 620 Goldsborough Street, Easton, MD 21601. Arrangements are by Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, Easton.
