SALISBURY - Sanders N. "Butch" Jackson died at Coastal Hospice at the Lake on Dec. 29, 2016, surrounded by his family. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of Charles Jackson Sr. and Rosaline Powell Jackson. A retired U.S. Marine, he an all-around athlete known as "Crazy Legs Jackson." He was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Salisbury, where he sang in the choir. In addition to his parents he is survived by his son, Michael Jackson; a grandson; siblings, Wendy Jackson Roberts, Marilyn Stanley, Charles Jackson, Jr., all of Salisbury, Francine Walls, of Dover, Del., and Keith Jackson, of Marion; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment will take place at the Eastern Shore Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Arrangements are in the care of Stewart Funeral Home by Holloway and Downey in Salisbury.
