LINKWOOD - Ruth B. Willey, 73, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge.

Born on Nov. 25, 1933, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Georgia Bowers.

On May 27, 1950, she married R. Thomas Willey Jr. He died on Jan. 21, 1996.

Mrs. Willey had been a member of the Souls Harbor Church of God for many years.

For most of her working life she was employed at Western Publishing and Airpax.

Mrs. Willey always enjoyed playing card games, especially with her son Eddy. Surviving are five children, Joyce W. Turner and her husband, Joe of Cambridge, Cyndi Brinsfield and her husband, Ron of Linkwood, Tim Willey and his wife, Crystal of Cambridge, Eddy Willey of Linkwood, Tom Willey and his wife, Farrah of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Ella Bowers of Delaware; four brothers, Sam Bowers of Baltimore, Jim Bowers of New York, Davie Bowers of Delaware and George Bowers of Crapo; 11 grandchildren, Joshua Turner, J. R. Neild, Levi Neild, Adrienne Willey, Samantha Willey, Austin Willey, Chuckie Robinson, Caleb Willey, Justin Willey, Taylor Willey and Nick Willey; four great-grandchildren, Reid Neild, Luke Neild, Levi Neild Jr., Cadence Robinson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were four sisters, Kathleen, Sis, Myrtle and Evelyn and two brothers, Pete and John.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dave Wooten. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Tim Willey, Eddy Wiley, Tom Willey, Josh Turner, Joe Turner and Levi Neild.

Memorial offerings may be made in Mrs. Willey's memory to Bay Country Church, 714 Locust St., Cambridge, MD 21613.
