EAST NEW MARKET - Ruth Ann Yoos, 65, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 14, 1942, in Cambridge, daughter of the late William John Layton and E. Irene Cheesman Layton.
Mrs. Yoos grew up in East New Market on her family farm and she loved animals.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in East New Market.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberlee Ann Bisker and her husband, Blair, of East New Market; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry William Yoos Jr., who died Jan. 22, 2002, and her half-brother, William Shufelt.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church in East New Market with the Rev. Delmer Willey and David Tolley officiating. Burial will follow in the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery in Beulah.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
