NANTICOKE - Russell James Matthews Jr. died Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, at his home. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of Russell and Mildred Houston Matthews.
He attended Parkville Elementary School and Towson Junior High. He joined his father at Matthews & Matthews in 1953, retiring in the 1990s.
He is survived by his wife, Lora Pat Matthews; four daughters, Sandra Tunney, Susan Lynn Seamon, Patti Lee Skalinski, Terri Lynn Handlir; a son, Russell James Matthews III; five grandchildren; and sister, Patricia Bon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
