Ronald Hearn

SALISBURY - Ronald Lee Hearn, 77, died June 13, 2016, while in hospice care at Westminster Canterbury in Virginia Beach, Va. Born and raised in Salisbury, he was a son of Edward and Mary Ruth Hearn. Also known as "Lefty," he graduated from Wicomico High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Air Force and served at Truax Air National Guard Base in Madison, Wis. He worked at Suburban Propane in Fruitland, where he retired in 1999. He was actively involved in coaching at the Salvation Army Boys Club and the Fruitland Little League. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son, David Hearn; a daughter, Sondra Hearn; a brother, Frank Hearn; a stepson, Jay Gilliss; and a grandson. A funeral service was held Monday, June 20, 2016, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial was in Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.
