Roland E. Marker III

SALISBURY - Roland "Buddy" E. Marker III died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, following a battle with cancer and pneumonia. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of Roland "Sonny" E. Marker Jr. and Gina Theresa Gasque Marker.
He worked as a painter or handyman most of his life. He was very proud of achieving sobriety for the last few years of his life, thanks to CTS of Maryland.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Brandon James Marker of Salisbury; a grandmother, Shirley A. Gasque of Salisbury; and a grandfather, Roland E. Marker Sr. of Seaford.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, John L. Gasque, Sr.; and grandparents, Elsie and Dale Parker.
A Celebration of Life was held Sept. 5, 2017, at the Moose Lodge No. 654 in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
