SALISBURY - Robert Warren Cox died on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. Born in West Chester, Pa., he was the son of the late Ronald Mason and Thelma Loller Cox. He served in the U.S. Army and then in the Delaware Air National Guard. He was a volunteer firefighter/EMS all his adult life. Earlier in his career, he worked as a welder and in heavy construction. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife, Robinette Lenora Cox; and a sister, Shirleyann Cox Regetz. He is survived by his wife, C. Virginia "Gin" Cable, of Salisbury; a daughter, Kathy Smith, of Pennsylvania; two stepdaughters, LaRue DeVaughn, of Salisbury and Lynn Jacobs, of Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
