TRAPPE - Robert G. "Bob" Lau, 63, died at his home on Tuesday, March 18, 2008.

Born Aug. 10, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late George W. and Lucille Horn Lau.

After graduating from Paul D. Schreiber High School in Port Washington, N.Y., he began a 20-year career as a color lithographer in New York.

For 10 years he volunteered on the skipjack "Nathan of Dorchester" and was a volunteer for the Salvation Army in Cambridge for more than 12 years.

Mr. Lau is survived by three daughters, Melissa Connolly and her husband, Curt of Claiborne, Heather Westerfield and her husband, Eddie of Easton, and Barbara Lau of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Owen Jacob Connolly and Isabella Grace Westerfield.

Services will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to the Dorchester Skipjack Committee, 526 Poplar St., Cambridge, MD 21613 or the Salvation Army, 200 Washington St., Cambridge, MD 21613.
