Richard 'Bud' Holliday Jr., 45

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio - Richard "Bud" Holiday Jr., 45, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on July 30, 1962 in Cambridge, to Richard and Ruth Ann Dawson Holliday Sr. of Bloomingburg, Ohio. Richard had been a self-employed carpenter which was his passion. He had attended the Harrisburg Pilgrim Holiness Church in Mt. Sterling.

He is survived by his parents and his wife, Anne Butcher Holliday whom he married on Feb. 14, 1987; two children, Ashley and Brent Holliday, both at home; siblings, Donald (Cricket) Holliday of Mt. Sterling, Joyce Hook, Shelly (Bob) Searles, and special sister, Leah Holliday all of Bloomingburg. He is also survived by grandmother, Nora Lee Dawson; aunt Sharon (George) Brittingham and uncle John (Lori) Holliday, all of Maryland and mother-in-law, Alice Butcher of Bloomingburg. Also special friends Robert and Susan Kuhns of Columbus; plus several nieces, nephews, cousins and a number of friends.

The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, at Washington Avenue House of Prayer, 1230 Washington Ave. with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating with burial to follow in the Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Sterling.
