HURLOCK - Richard H. Nepert, 78, passed away on Friday May 30, 2008.

He was born in Preston on Nov. 25, 1929 and was a son of the late John and Marie Fuchs Nepert.

Richard attended schools in Preston and Hurlock. He worked at Connelly Containers in Cambridge and after they closed he worked at Airpax until he retired in 1994.

On April 30, 1966 he was married to the former Betty Brannock. She passed away on Feb. 18, 1990. Richard enjoyed NASCAR racing, antique shows, going to sales and also enjoyed collecting antique farm toys. He had been in failing health since Christmas and had been a patient at the Mallard Bay Care Center for the past three weeks.

Survivors include a sister, Rebecca N. Blizzard of Salisbury; one brother, Edward Nepert of Hurlock; three stepsons, William Mills of Hurlock, Lawrence "Larry" Mills of Hurlock and Raymond Jack Mills of Cambridge; a stepdaughter, Carolyn J. Harding of Williamsburg; two nephews and four nieces.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Katherine Foxwell.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Dorchester Memorial Park in Cambridge with the Rev. Denzil T. Cheek officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mallard Bay Care Center, 520 Glenburn Ave., Cambridge, MD 21613.
