SALISBURY - Richard Eugene Holloway, 87, of Salisbury, died Saturday, July 30, 2016, surrounded by his family. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Edgar Lawrence Holloway and Eva Belle Hammond Holloway. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the VFW in Powellville, Lions Club in Willards and Mount Hermon, and the Moose Lodge in Salisbury. He was a past member of the Beaver Run Ruritan Club. He was a lifelong farmer and worked with his father in their store known as Holloway's Meats and Groceries until 1973. He is survived by his wife, Frances W. Holloway; a son, R. Jeffrey Holloway of Salisbury; a stepson, Gary Tyndall; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Marion Tyler Holloway. A funeral service was held on Saturday, Aug. 6 2016, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
