Rebecca Bennett Adshead

SHARPTOWN - Rebecca "Becky" Bennett Adshead died at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, surrounded by her family. Born in Sharptown, she was a daughter of the late Fred Howard Bennett and Erline Miller Bailey.
A Class of 1961 graduate from Mardela High School, she was a lifelong member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church in Sharptown and had recently been attending Bayview Baptist Church in Laurel. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 113.
She is survived by her husband, W. Cary Adshead; a daughter, Sharon Adshead Bramble of Newport News, Va.; three grandsons; two sisters, Shirley Milligan and Joanne Jones; a brother, David Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.
A public graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Fireman's Cemetery in Sharptown. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home of Delmar.
