DELMAR -- Raymond Ford Parsons Sr., 74, of Delmar, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Parsons. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Pepsi after 34 years of service. He is survived by his children, Angelia Farnum of Delmar, Tracy Wagner of Felton, Raymond Parsons Jr. of Delmar, Valerie Paquin of Glen Falls, N.Y., and Natalie Shane of Taneytown, Md.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Brittingham of Seaford, Beth Johnson of Salisbury and Deborah Jones (Russell) of Pittsville; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Harriett Parsons. A funeral was held Friday, July 15, 2016 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Interment with military honors followed at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.
