SALISBURY -- Preston Roland Darby Jr., 62, of Salisbury, died Sept. 26, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Preston Roland Darby Sr. and Della Mae Baker Darby. "PR" was a truck mechanic for UPS for 20 years, retiring in 2011. Prior to this, he worked for Barr International for several years. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joan Lee Hill Darby; two children, Christopher J. Atkins and Crystal D. Watkins, all of Salisbury; two grandchildren; three sisters, Patricia Brewington of Snow Hill, Connie Pusey and Carol Mason, both of Parsonsburg; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of His Life was held Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
