The Mardela High Class of 2018 participated in commencement ceremonies on Saturday, June 2, at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center. The class includes 85 graduates, with 47 percent of them graduating with Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude or Cum Laude distinction, the highest percentage in the county. Eighty percent of the class is pursuing a higher degree, and 6 percent will be going into the military. The class received more than $4 million in scholarships.
