The Fruitland Falcons Football U8 and U10 teams played at Salisbury University’s Seagull Stadium on Saturday.
The U8 team played two games, followed by U10 playing a semi-final round to determine which team advanced to the league championship, according to Coach Kevin Lindsay.
“This is the second year of event. We did this with once before with the Wicomico Panthers in 2016 and now with the Fruitland Falcons Football,” Lindsay explained.
Jesse Campbell, coach in U10 division, called the game important because it “connects young folks with experiences and opportunities.”
Mark Urban, Football Operations and Treasurer, said the teams “truly appreciate Salisbury University for hosting the semi-finals of our U10 division along with the final U8 games of the season.”
“Allowing the players to have this opportunity is something they will remember for a lifetime,” he said.
“It’s an exciting day,” Lindsay said.
