Becker Morgan Group announces new employee
Emily E. McMullen has joined the Salisbury office of Becker Morgan Group as an Architectural Designer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Marywood University.
Her project experience with Becker Morgan Group includes Lewes Public Library in Lewes; Ocean City Beach Patrol Headquarters; Snow Hill High School; and The Nanticoke Health Services Mears Medical Office Building in Seaford.
“We are fortunate to add new design talent to our team, expanding our capacity to meet and exceed clients’ goals,” said Gregory V. Moore, P.E., principal.
Becker Morgan Group provides Architecture & Engineering services with offices in Delaware, Maryland, and North Carolina.
CPA joins United Needs and Abilities
Amie Young, C.P.A., has joined United Needs and Abilities Inc. as their new controller.
Previously she was the CFO at the Ann Storck Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and has more than nine years of experience in Accounting.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University and her Masters in Accounting & Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Young was involved with the American Women’s Society of Certified Public Accountants and served as the South Florida Affiliate President the year prior to moving to the Eastern Shore.

City Council lauds clerk Diane Nelson
The Salisbury City Council is pleased to announce that Assistant City Clerk Diane Nelson has recently received two prestigious awards from the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
Nelson recently received the IAAP DE-MD-DC Past Division President Marsha Kremzier’s, CAP-OM 2013-2014 “KEY TO OUR SUCCESS” Award.
Nelson’s many hours of service, hard work and tenacity as the 2013-2014 Tri-County Treasurer were also recognized by the IAAP International Past-President Judith Yannarelli, CAP-OM as the Chapter received one of the distinguished 2013-2014 “Chapter of Excellence” awards.
Nelson, the city’s Assistant City Clerk, is also an active member of the Maryland Municipal Clerks Association and International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
Tonney Insley joins Sperry Van Ness
Brent Miller, Managing Director and Senior Adviser with Sperry Van Ness – Miller Commercial Real Estate in Salisbury, is pleased to announce that Tonney Insley has joined the SVN-Miller team as an Associate Adviser.
As a native of Salisbury, Tonney has returned to his roots to explore his career as a commercial real estate adviser and will be working directly with Senior Adviser Brent Miller, CCIM, CPM.
Tonney graduated from Gettysburg College in 1999 and spent 15 years in Washington D.C. as a marketing professional working for both for-profit and nonprofit companies.
He is adept at building business relationships and will work to develop local business opportunities to increase the awareness of Salisbury as Maryland’s Eastern Shore hub for development and growth.
Tonney is a candidate for the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member designation, which recognizes experts in the commercial and investment real estate industry.
