FRUITLAND - Patrick "Pat" D. Marvel died Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. A son of the late James C. Marvel and Anna Mae Cullen Marvel, he served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard and worked for many years at Eden's Nestbox in Parsonsburg. He was a member of Walker Memorial Church of God in Princess Anne. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Murphy-Marvel; a son, Christopher Patrick Marvel, of Salisbury; a daughter, Caitlin Marie Marvel, of Salisbury; two grandchildren; sisters, Joan Hart, of Laurel, and Mary Lou Grill, of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wives, Judy Dorman Hurley, of Salisbury; and Victoria Calvano Wilgus, of Hebron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Jimmy Marvel. A funeral service was held Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Interment followed at Millsboro Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
