Devreco, a locally owned and operated full service development firm, has announced the addition of Tom Becker to the team as lead “Imagineer.”

“We are ecstatic to have Tom join the brainchild behind Devreco,” said Bradley Gillis, a Devreco partner.  “We know his expertise, experience and imagination will be of great value to our mission and goals. We look forward to many brainstorming sessions with Tom which we trust will result in grand ventures for Devreco and success for the community at-large.”

“It’s a lot of fun and a lot less pressure to sit down with Brad, Joey and Chris and kick around ideas and see what we can get done and developed,” said Tom Becker, Devreco Imagineer.

“The Devreco team has a lot of irons in the fire but they have so much enthusiasm and bring a level of energy to Downtown Salisbury that we have never seen before.  I am thrilled to be a part of the team.”

“Tom is Devreco’s Imagineer,” said Devreco partner Joey Gilkerson.  “He is constantly coming up with innovative ideas and opportunities and thinking outside the box to develop solutions for bringing the ideas to life.”

Tom Becker, co-founded Becker Morgan Group, architects and engineers, in 1983 with partner Ron Morgan after recognizing Maryland’s Eastern Shore was in need of a creative and innovative firm to focus on the region’s private sector.

Over the years, Becker Morgan Group has grown in tandem with the Shore and continues to strengthen its reputation in the business community through leadership in many revitalizations and new development ventures.

Becker’s experience and expertise reaches beyond the Lower Shore into the Greater Delmarva region with involvement in regional urban development projects for Easton Utilities Consumer Services Center; Bay Creek Marina Village in Cape Charles; Cape Harbor, mixed use town center in Cape Charles; Victory Crossing town redevelopment in Virginia Beach; Calhoun MEBA Engineering School in Easton; Rivers Edge residential project in Salisbury; and numerous other commercial, residential and institutional projects throughout the region.

Becker’s community support is evident in his involvement and leadership in various civic organizations including Urban Salisbury (chairman), Greater Salisbury Committee (chairman), Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, Salisbury Wicomico Planning and Zoning Commission, PRMC Foundation, Civic Center Task Force, Wicomico Visioning Committee and Downtown/Riverfront Development Review Committee.
