Norman C. Swift Jr.

Swift, Jr., 82 CRISFIELD - Norman C. "Sonny" Swift, Jr., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Crisfield on July 29, 1930, he was a son of the late Norman C. and Ronnie Frances Pruitt Swift. He was the self-employed owner of Norman Swift Refridgeration and was a member of Mariners United Methodist Church in Crisfield. He enjoyed watching TV, and loved to spend time with his family. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Edna L. Nelson Swift of Crisfield; three sons, Norman C. Swift, III and wife Joan of Marion, Melvin G. Swift of Exmore, Va., and Richard F. "Dickie" Swift and wife Betty of Delmar, Md.; five grandsons, Richard F. Swift, Jr. and wife Jodi, Jamie Swift and wife Tonya of Harrington, Eric Swift of Crisfield, Justin Swift, US Navy, and Jeremy Swift of Wattsville, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving of six children. Funeral services were held Monday, December 3, 2012 at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield The Rev. Terry Riggin officiated. Interment was in Asbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be sent to the Lower Somerset County Ambulance and Rescue Squad, LSCARS, P.O. Box 406, Crisfield, MD 21817.
