Nicholas S. Gooch

QUANTICO - Nicholas Stribling Gooch died Tuesday, May 29, 2018, after a long struggle with depression and addiction. Born in Salisbury, he was the only child of David Gooch and Judith Stribling.
He graduated from James M. Bennett High School, where he excelled in baseball and soccer. He received an Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering from Delaware Technical Community College in 2010, graduating with honors, and worked as a survey technician and crew chief for many years, most recently for Vista Designs.
He is survived by his parents; his grandmothers, Lola Gooch and Carolyn Stribling; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his 5-year old daughter, Samantha Paige Gooch of Bridgeville.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 30, at 2 p.m. at the Westside Community Center in Bivalve. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
