SALISBURY - Nancy King Brown died in Balm, Fla., on Friday, May 4, 2018. Born in Eden, she was the daughter of Thomas James King and Elnora Simms King. She and her husband were married at the Rockawalkin United Methodist Church and together they ran the Kinney Shoe Store on Main Street in Salisbury in the early 1960s. They returned to Salisbury in 1968 to open the Kinney Shoe Store at the new Salisbury Mall, where they worked until the moved their family to Florida in 1976. A longtime member of the First Nazarene Church of Salisbury, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Otis Carl Brown. She is survived by a son, Kenneth Brown; a daughter, Brenda Parry; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, William, Joe, Lester "Bunk" and Jimmy King; and two sisters, Anna Vickers and Betty Blackson. A graveside service was held at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron on Monday May 14, 2018. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home of Delmar.
