Monroe S. Simmons

S. Simmons, 86 CAMBRIDGE - Monroe "MIKE" S. Simmons, of 13376 Mentzer Gap Road, Waynesboro (Beartown) Pa. was called home to be with his Lord on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 12, 2014. Born Dec. 3, 1927 in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Monore T. and Blanche N. (Aaron) Simmons. He graduated from high schools in the Cambridge area at Hoopers Island. On June 6, 1958 in Hagerstown, he married his beloved wife, Charlotte J. (McKenrick) Simmons. He was a US Veteran serving in the US Air Force. He was an auto Mechanic both with his own business and for the US Goverment at Ft. Richie, Cascade, Md. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by a son, Timothy A. Simmons and his wife Vicki of Rouzerville; two daughers, Rita N. McPherson and her husband John of South Mountain and Carol Jean Simmons of Hagerstown; three sisters all of Cambridge, Maryland Martha Foxwell, Lottie Insley and Mildred Brooks. Funeral Services will be private. Mr. Simmons family has entrusted his care to the independent family owned funeral home Lochstampfor Funeral Home, Inc., Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
