She attended Asbury United Methodist Church in Crisfield, Md. Mrs. Palk was an active and enthusiastic volunteer with the local Civil Defense organization and local nursing homes in Atlanta and with a local hospital in Richmond. Mrs. Palk was physically active throughout her life, leading exercise classes and riding a bicycle well into her 80's. She enjoyed good health until the very last. She is survived by her son, William and his wife Veronica of Annapolis; her niece, Margaret Haase and her husband Joseph of Marion Station; her nephew, James D. Briggs, Jr. and his wife Amy of Arkansas; two grandsons, Thomas Short of Michigan, and Jonathan Short of New York City; her son-in-law, Lauren Robinson of Michigan; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
