SALISBURY - Mary Jane Honemann Rinehimer died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Wicomico Nursing Home. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Henry Letcher Honemann and Maude Elizabeth Honemann. She graduated from Western Maryland College and spent a long career with the Baltimore County School system as a librarian. As a devout Swedenborgian, she and her family attended the Swedenborgian Church on Calvert Street in Baltimore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Wilkins Rinehimer; her brothers, John Honemann and Milton Honemann; and her sisters; May Preston, Ellen McPike, and Phyllis Honemann. She is survived by her children, Sandra Rinehimer, of Salisbury, Jon Rinehimer, of Monkton, Md., Karen Mitchell, of Allen and Phyllis Gowdy, of Currituck, N.C.; her brother Daniel Honemann; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service for all family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Allen United Methodist Church in Eden. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
