SALISBURY - Marvin L. Phillips, 93, of Salisbury, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at his home. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of the Wicomico Presbyterian Church. He was employed for many years as a hair stylist at Glemby Corp of New York. He later moved to Salisbury and worked for more than 20 years at Laurie's Hair Design. Also known as "Marvelous Marv," he was an avid golfer and a lifetime member of Nutter's Crossing and was a Senior Tournament Player. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Phillips of Salisbury; three children, John Phillips of Baltimore and Robert and Karen Phillips of Salisbury. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a half-brother and sister. A funeral service was held on Monday, July 27, 2015, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment will take place privately at a later date at Eastern Shore Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
